Running and managing new Truck Fleet Branch. With a growing branch of nearly 50% YOY, I have built with the help of my team a huge rental sector for United Rentals in the realm of vehicle & truck rentals. As of today (August 2023), we have 12 million dollars original equipment cost in fleet at a rental rate of 85% on rent. That is 264 trucks/vehicles, two direct report employees, our own yard location, with our own dispatching, managing leads with our company's Sales Reps in district & region, working with government contracts, working with small businesses, and working with large businesses to provide transport solutions.
Running and managing new Truck Fleet Branch. United Rentals opened a new branch and sector of buisness to begin providing pickup trucks, stake bed trucks, and passenger vans to contractors to meet the growing demand for a mobile workforce. I was put in charge of running this operation out of PDX serving the greater Oregon and Washington regions with some customers further away as well. From May 2021 we started to accrue a truck fleet and rental contracts, by November we had 95 units on rent at nearly 100% on rent. Next year, 2022, we expect to double our fleet to nearly 200 units or 7 million dollars in assets, and much of next year's order consists of electric Ford pickups. United Rentals as a whole also plans on nearly doubling the amount of truck fleet locations from 12 to about 24 in 2022. I have continued to learn how to take care of a customer's needs and always go the extra mile. I am learning how to manage our assets and costs by running the branch. Everyday is a chance to learn more and improve on the company's representation to the customer.
Working with customers to help them to get there project done by offering a wide array of construction rentals to suit there needs. Each customer is an individual with there own means, scope of work, and goals. This job includes answering sales calls, service request, managing will calls, quoting customers, and following up with them when appropriate. During this time my knowledge of construction equipment has grown greatly.
Working directly with sub contractors and site foremen to build five story plus condos, where my job was to manage my crew to tasks, read plans to ensure correctness, insure job site safety, coordinate with other trades, and relay information about the site to the owner of the company. During this time I completed 4 larger projects and filled in for 8-12 smaller projects. The larger projects took 4-6 months to complete. I also created the company website and documented the portfolio of the company's projects and services at KO.Construction.
Working directly with owner on any projects that he may need to be completed, ordering, setting up deliveries, creating a logo and website for company, organizing receipts, learning how to bid projects with supervision, and learning how to read architectural plans.
Retail sales and working with customers.
Working with employees and customers to update product images for a company with over 65,000 car products. Organizing a method of picking products, photographing, Photoshopping, and uploading to the web. I also hosted many product shows, working with customers to answer questions and provide information. I learned how to use Photoshop, Illustrator, and CSS.
I also worked the front counter sales here. I found that by processing the products in person that I was able to learn a lot about the products for sale and how they applied themselves to the customer's needs. I dedicated myself to learning the entire catalog and learning about car maintenance and modifications. This made me a useful representative for the company, and I was able to talk intelligently with the customer about their needs. I was also able to write better descriptions for many of the products on the website linked above.
I worked with clients to design and build a website to their needs. I think that this helped me to build my customer service experience and problem solving abilities. This has been a great opportunity to learn new skills and work towards someone’s vision. I completed over 10 projects during this time period. Feel free to ask for references from these projects.
This is a company that I have been working on. SheaBee Hand Cream is locally made here in Portland, Oregon using only local and organic products. Every batch is hand made by artisan craftsman that strive to make every batch like the first one. I came to the idea of creating a hand cream when I realized that I was allergic to every brand that I tried. The overuse of artificial scents and ingredients lead to my allergic reaction. I set out to create a product that was derived solely from nature with no parabens or artificial ingredients. I get my beeswax from a local beekeeper. Our bees take pollen from the surrounding area and make honey and beeswax. They are never feed a corn syrup solution, which is attributing to shorter bee lifespans and a weakening of the bee genetics.
This is a company that I have been working on. This is an Ebay business of mine providing various specialty building products to people in rural areas without nearby specialty manufactures.
This is a court that is assembled for minors that have admitted to their guilt. The purpose of youth court is to find a reasonable correctional punishment that helps people correct their behaviors into the future before they become adults. The recidivism rate for US correctional institutes is 43%, so it important to correct behaviors before the consequences begin to become further introduction into criminal social settings. My role was representing the state or defendant as an attorney. Communication through interviewing and during the trial was key for representing the client appropriately.
I acted as a random digit caller for Nicole Lefavour’s congressional campaign of 2013. This included calling people to inform them about their congressional choices and voting dates.
Since the age of eight I have danced in Basque dancing programs until moving to Portland after high school. With the adult group, the Oinkari Basque Dancers, the Basque Government paid for us to tour the Basque Country in the summer of 2011. The Onikari's are considered to be part of the reason that Basque dancing survived the oppression of the Basques by Francisco Franco. My Great Grandpa moved from his hometown of Kortezubi to the States at age 18 for these reasons.
